Plain-language disclosure
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what SakanaFugu.com and its service providers may process, why it is processed, and which controls are available.
Who and what this policy covers
This policy covers SakanaFugu.com. The site is an independent editorial project and is not Sakana AI. Sakana AI, Google, the hosting provider, and linked websites apply their own privacy terms to their services.
Information that may be processed
Email you choose to send
If you email [email protected], the message, email address, headers, and attachments are processed by the relevant email providers so the request can be read and answered. The site has no public account system, comment area, or contact-form database.
Hosting and security logs
Hosting and content-delivery providers may receive IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent, and security signals needed to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. These operational logs are controlled by those providers and their account settings.
Local browser preference
The analytics choice is stored in local storage under sakanafugu-analytics-consent-v1 with the value accepted or rejected. It contains no name or email address.
Optional Google Analytics
Analytics storage is denied by default. Google Analytics 4 loads only after you choose “Accept analytics.” It may process page URL, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser details, referrer, and interaction measurements generated by Google Analytics.
SakanaFugu.com does not manufacture hash-based page views or timed heartbeat events. Rejecting Analytics does not restrict the guide or tools. Use the “Analytics settings” button at the lower edge of the page to revisit the choice.
See Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics privacy information for Google's processing.
Google AdSense status and advertising data
The site has applied to Google AdSense and includes publisher ID pub-6762879731814955. As of July 21, 2026, Google has not approved the site to display ads. Content and tool pages may load the AdSense tag for ownership and readiness checks, while trust and policy pages do not load it.
If ads are approved later, Google and advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, IP address, device identifiers, and ad interactions to deliver, limit, measure, or personalize advertising according to Google's policies and the user's region and consent.
For users in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, personalized-ad consent must be collected through a Google-certified consent management platform. The site's Analytics dialog is not an advertising CMP and does not grant ad-storage, ad-user-data, or ad-personalization consent. Those signals remain denied unless an applicable certified platform collects a valid choice.
Advertising preferences can also be reviewed in Google Ads Settings. Learn how Google uses information from publisher sites at Google partner sites.
Why information is used
- Deliver and secure the website
- Respond to messages and privacy requests
- Measure page usefulness only when Analytics consent is granted
- Prepare for and, only if approved, operate advertising under Google policies
- Diagnose technical and accessibility failures
SakanaFugu.com does not sell email addresses or maintain a data-broker profile of readers.
Retention and deletion
Email is retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, keep a correction record, or meet an applicable obligation. Hosting, Google Analytics, and future advertising retention depend on the provider and configured account settings. Browser preferences remain until you change them or clear site storage.
Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request.” Verification may be required before acting on a request.
You can also block or remove browser storage through browser controls. Removing the saved analytics choice causes the site to ask again on the next visit.
Children
The site is a technical product guide and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to the contact address, email the same address so the issue can be reviewed.
Policy changes and contact
Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and this text. Questions and requests can be sent to [email protected].
