Access and policy

Fugu Cyber is a gated product, not a hidden Ultra price tier

Official documentation describes Fugu Cyber as a cybersecurity-specialized model on pay-as-you-go billing after a reviewed access request. It does not currently publish a public token-rate table. This page records those rules and the uses this independent guide will not describe.

1. What official pages say Cyber is for

The product and Models pages position Fugu Cyber for security analysis, vulnerability research, threat investigation, and other cyber workflows where depth matters. That is vendor positioning. It is not authorization. Your legal right to test a system still comes from the system owner, your employer, or a written engagement. SakanaFugu.com cannot grant that right.

2. Access is a process, not a model ID in a README

Official Models documentation says:

  • Cyber is available only through pay-as-you-go billing.
  • The API key’s billing mode must be set to pay-as-you-go.
  • Users must submit an access request describing the intended use case and providing verified contact information.
  • Applications are reviewed manually before the endpoint is granted.
  • fugu-cyber currently defaults to fugu-cyber-v1.0 and appears on the Models API only for eligible keys.

The access form is linked from the official Models page. Use that form. Do not email this site’s inbox expecting an approval.

3. Why the Cyber rate table was removed from this site

On August 17, 2026 the official pricing page no longer listed per-million Cyber rates. It instructed readers to contact sales. The product page said the same. Continuing to show $6 / $36 / $0.60 from an earlier snapshot would present a withdrawn figure as current. That is the kind of stale claim this site exists to avoid.

The calculator therefore prices Ultra only. If you need a Cyber quote, use Sakana AI sales after access is in scope.

4. Editorial boundary

This page will not publish:

  • Exploit payloads, exploit proof-of-concept code, or attack recipes
  • Advice for scanning or attacking systems without authorization
  • Instructions for bypassing Cyber access review, billing mode, or regional restrictions

If your question is “how do I break into X with Fugu Cyber,” the answer from this site is that you should not. If your question is “how do I know whether Cyber is even available to my key,” call the Models API and read the official access form.

5. How to evaluate Cyber without pretending we ran it

Official pages publish CyberGym and CTI-REALM scores. Those are vendor-reported results. They are useful for deciding whether Cyber is in the right category. They are not a substitute for a scoped evaluation on assets you are allowed to test, with the same evidence standard described in the evaluation playbook.

The model chooser recommends Cyber only when the workload is authorized defensive security and the region is outside the EU and EEA. That rule is conservative on purpose.

If your team only needs coding review or research synthesis, start with Fugu or Ultra. Cyber is not a general quality upgrade, and treating it as one will send you through an access process that official docs reserve for security workflows.
